How to hide files and apps on Android Phones from Your Uncles

Smartphones contain a lot of sensitive information, from personal emails to bank details. Smartphones are not impenetrable, and it’s often alarmingly easy to bypass lock screen security. So, how do you keep your Android data secure? We recommend checking out one of the apps listed below to make sure your private information stays private.
AppLock
AppLock allows you to set passwords or unlock patterns for specific apps or areas of your smartphone, which is great if you don't want to lock your home screen but want to keep specific data safe.
You will find a list of all the apps on the device in the AppLock main menu. Here you can decide which apps should be password protected and which should not.

Andrognito

This app is not only useful, but also pretty, thanks to its modern, flat design. Andrognito password protects your content and does it in a stealthy manner.
Andrognito itself is secured by a four-digit PIN, with files being bound in three layers of encryption. You can use it to hide pictures, documents, videos, apps and more; data hidden by Andrognito will never appear in the recent apps list.

Smart Hide Calculator

While the aforementioned apps will either encrypt or hide data, Smart Hide Calculator takes security a step further. When you open the app, Smart Hide Calculator masquerades as an unobtrusive, fully functional... yes, you guessed it, calculator.
Upon first opening the app you will be asked to enter a number on the calculator screen: this will then act as your password. To access your data after this point, all you will need to do is type in that number and press the equals button.

This is basically the same as entering a password in any other way, and technically, an intruder could eventually guess your PIN, because Smart Hide Calculator doesn't limit the number of attempts you can make.
Your can lock data away in all kinds of formats, but you will need root privileges to get the most out of this app. It's a unique one, nonetheless; highly functional and very clever.
